Currently valued at $150.8 billion, it now peddles everything from soap to TV soaps. The company has grown so large and complicated to comprehend that it’s easy to understand why the rest of corporate America is in a state of perpetual fear. To be ‘Amazoned’ means to have your business crushed because the company steamrolled its way into your market. Fear of being ‘Amazoned’ has become a defining factor in corporate America.
It would be impossible to oversell Bezos’ ambitions. It’s easy to forget this stratospheric growth has only happened in the last 3 years. What policy does Washington have in place to contain Bezos’ appetite? As it stands, it’s hard to imagine him lacking a seat at any table he wants.
